Berry actually co-wrote "MOney" one of Motown's first hits, as well as hits by Jackie Wilson and the Jackson 5 (as part of The Corporation)

Really? #1?

Really?

I mean, yeah, I can't think of anyone who doesn't love him or at least respect him, but is he really that influential? I mean, unless you live on an island, you don't really hear all that much raggae. (And if you've heard most of what they pass off as "raggae" when you DO live on an island, you'd be glad.)

If MJ and Prince are #2 and #3, then the logical choice for #1 should be James Brown, true???

I couldn't agree with you more. That right there is why I don't like that Bob Marley was considered #1. He didn't seem to influence as many artists out here now the way James Brown did. That's just me though.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

An MJ fan in France and I were talking awhile ago and she was telling me how there and other parts of Europe, Marley is heavily played whereas artists like Marvin, Stevie, Lennon, and Elton don't get much play aside from a couple of songs

she's a big Motown fan and told me how she was talking about Stevie and her teacher replied "Oh, that blind guy?" It shocked her the hell out lol

Howcome Jimi's so low? I guess they're cater to their viewers. confused It's the same with any major list though. Always some much younger undeserving artists on the list. Always out of order too.
