Has anyone heard Rahemm Devaugh remake of (I Would Die 4 U) He has done a gospel version that is really good.

I just checked it out. Probably one of the best P covers I've heard in a while.
I always thought that song had a gospel edge to it. I like how he took it to church at the end.

I have a feeling Raheem is going to be at a lot of P aftershows if P hears this.

I like Raheem DeVaughn but I think it's a testament to Prince's songwriting prowess that enables anybody with a modicum of reasonable talent to successfully cover "I Would Die 4 U." It's a great melody.

Good points the song does have a great melody but we have listened in horror at so many bad covers. I guess that tells us a lot about the talent now a days.

I liked it. I liked it more than I expected to. The music could have been a little fuller but the vocal aspect wasn't bad at all. This is the second cover by him that I've been impressed by.

I saw dude sing last year at last year's ciaa tournament in
charlotte and he wasn't very good.

I dig this. Dude is talented

the song is such a time period song that its hard to here anyones take but Prince and judge good or bad as if its new. Generally i havent liked any Prince covers, some have been god awful, one of the worst ever for me was "the Beautiful Ones" by MC and Dru, and of course "when doves cry" by Ginuwine, probably top the worst list.
