Some people I know have been raving, RAVING, for a while now about a little known Rhode Island band called Grüvis Malt.

I finally got around to checking these guys out and...WOW!

Their music kinda defies description, but I can say it is a refreshing fusion of jazz/funk/rock/hiphop.

You, yes YOU, need to go to their very cool .mp3 site where you can listen and/or download songs to your little heart's content. This is one site I don't think you will regret checking out.

Gruvis has been around for a long time, well locally anyhow. I really don't like them but I guess they are good at what they do. They remind me too much of 311. Where did you see them live4???

I haven't seen Gruvis live...yet. They are about to do a big tour the first of the year, but I don't think they are gonna be coming close enough for me.

My northern friends have been talking nonstop about them for over a year and I finally got around to giving their stuff a listen. I'm glad I did.

I work in RI and live close by so I've seen them around a lot. My ex-boyfriend's band beat them in a rock hunt but it was pretty close... I don't think they have a big following around here because they've been around for so long and the Rhodies kinda got bored with it. But I wish them luck, they are good at what they do.
