I don't mean to offend, but I think that song would have tanked here because it sounded like a B side from a Joe album. Just because someone is singing and not using autotune doesn't mean their voice/song/music is good. I didn't think that music was good at all.
While I agree that there is a lot to be desired from what is marketed as today's popular American r&b music, I still find a lot of talented wonderful musicians out there producing quality music that I support. Many of those artists are discussed on these forums and on other musicblogs. They may not get ad nauseam airplay, but they still exist. While I am always open to hearing new music, and enjoy artists from all over, I don't think we need to "import" new artists from the UK to hear quality music.
