"Burnin" contained 3 of my favorite Labelle songs of all time, "Somebody Loves You", "When You've Been Blessed" and the title track. The rest of the albums from the 90's were just okay for me. The problem with all of Patti's albums, IMO, is that they contain a ton of what I consider filler material. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I totally agree with you. Burnin' was my favorite of the 90s. It is actually a pretty cohesive piece of work. The rest of them have some good songs, but contain LOTS of filler. It was as if the record company found one or 2 good songs for her new projects (mostly the Jam and Lewis stuff). The rest of the songs were done by Patti and Bud. Bud did some great work, but the majority was lacking in content. If I had to pick a 2nd choice, I'd pick Gems. It had a few really good songs on it. My biggest complaint was the remake of All This Love.Teddy Riley really f-ed that one up. Both of the Live albums are good. The first one really showcases Patti as an R&B singer. The 2nd (2cd set) is not as good, but still great. It has LOTS of remakes. I prefer the DVD for the 2cd set concert. It features Patti and Luther singing "Is It Still Good To Ya". Can't go wrong with that. [Edited 2/18/09 9:00am] **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
