Redstorm is actually a hot spoken word poet. I remember him being on Def Poetry Jam. He's a featured artist on Syleena Johnson's new album Chapter 4: Labor Pains.

The song she is performing here is one of my favorite songs from the album. It's nice to hear her sing it live. There are quite a few good songs on this album with straight up honest, raw, sexy and passionate lyrics. Something for every mood.

And I give her extra props for doing it on her own label. This can really compete with some of the so-called best R&B artists out today.

Somebody was trying to outsing her in the beginning. She has more videos on her youtube page and in her favorites. Her are some of her best ones.

She has a couple interesting interviews on there too, before she completed the album. You can tell changes were made. Initially, she planned on remaking The Makings of You by Curtis Mayfield, but she went with ther father's song instead.
