Say what you will but I think Marilyn was beautiful then and she is beautiful now.
Google the video of her singing "If I Could Reach You". To be fair Solid Gold was the show where the hosts jacked up the hits. Rex Smith, Andy Gibb and even the beloved Dionne Warwick would um, have different arrangements of whatever happened to be in the top ten. But hey that and American Bandstand and Soul Train were all we had at the time so I'm not complaining.
