yep, it's a Thriller outtake. It was recorded in 1981 or 82.

Yea, Michael recorded early in the Thriller sessions but it didn't make the album. If I remember, it wasn't even considered in the final stages

There are 2 versions, the one that's been circulating since 1998-99 and the latest snippet that's slightly slower and is a different vocal take

I was going to post this really cool interview from one of the engineers for Thriller and how they would come up with the mixes and how they chose the songs. A really great interview, but there's already too many threads about Michael and I don't it to get flamed
