I remember when she flubbed the lyrics to a song at a Dolly Parton Tribute special a few years ago and she only had to perform that one song. She said that Dolly made her nervous so she forgot the lyrics, but really c'mon now remembering lyrics is a huge part of her career and she was far from being a newcomer on that special or at this concert. If you're not prepared, just say you're not prepared instead of blaming screw ups on outside sources. If she has a bad habit of getting stressed out and forgetting her own lyrics, than like someone above mentioned, she needs to invest in a teleprompter, a karaoke machine, or a cue-card holder, so she can give her fans the best show for their time and money.

She's never been known to be very bright based off of several comments she's made over the years, so I'm not surprised she can't remember a few lyrics. I do think the media is being a little harsh on her, but she isn't helping herself any by constantly losing weight than gaining it back and than losing it again...it's like acknowledging and kinda agreeing with the people who are calling you fat. She's far from being fat and I'd rather her have meat on her bones than be 100 pounds like some of these female celebrities. She got comfortable and gained a few pounds, who doesn't do that at some point? Now, I can't defend her for that hideous outfit that started the whole controversy, because that ensemble was wrong on all levels. Even if she was skinny, it would still be fugly as sin. Sucks, but 1) she's in a business which everyone knows focuses heavily on physical appearances over personality; and, 2) she made a big deal about her image a few years back by slutting it up after she had made comments about how she would never do that because she was a 'Christian girl' (Beyonce made a similar statement as well, then did the 'Baby Boy' video ). Women who make empowering statements and then do actions that contradict those statements should really be slapped IMO.

I guess it's hard for me to defend her because from the way this sounds, she screwed up because she let the media and her boyfriend's absence get the best of her and that's not something I see as being professional or strong by making your problems everyone else's problem. If these two stupid factors made her give her adoring fans a disappointing show, than she needs to learn to leave her problems at the foot of the stage before she does anymore shows. Those people obviously didn't care about her weight issues or that her boyfriend was a no-show and still supported her after she almost gave up on herself. Every performer has an 'off-day' at some point, but suck it up, pull it together, and give your fans something good at some point in the show. Even in 38-minutes, she could have delivered something decent amongst all the screw-ups, but I guess that's not easy for everyone to accomplish especially when they are soo quick to throw in the towel and just shut down. Look at her legs and arm - she is NOT overweight in this picture.

The photo is almost at the same angle as the one with those horrific pants, plus her vest is pushed out, giving the illusion of a "belly". Actually look at the picture for longer than 2 seconds and you'll see this is a normal weight.

Basically, she needs to fire whoever's dressing her, because now this is the second time people have thought she's "overweight" because of an ill fitting outfit.
