Her face and voice annoy me. She looks slightly obnoxious, like someone's forcing her to do this shit! If you don't wanna sing, don't be makin' them stank faces like you're perturbed 24/7. One of the most contrived acts of recent times...and I can safely say that, knowing a few people who worked behind the campaign to launch her. She has such an annoying, affected voice...awful vibrato, no vocal tones whatsoever. Even Yanni is more soulful than Duffy. | |

i like her. she was just marketed terribly. i mean she's 23 or 24 for god sake and they made her out to be a granny. she's an old soul no doubt but cmon now. mercy (love the unexpected rap 3/4 in), distant dreamer and syrup and honey were all crazy. id go even so far as calling her the femal equivalent of ceelo.

I like the Rockferry album a lot. Live however, Duffy's voice can be a little grating which I don't hear on the record. Having seen her live twice now, it's obvious the whole retro-soul thing was forced on her and she still hasn't gotten it to fit correctly.
