We had Bleecker Street Cinema and The Waverly in NYC and in Brooklyn we had The Marlboro. They would play....Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same, Quadropenia and Kids Are Alright, The Wall, 200 Motels, Greatful Dead, Ladies And Gentleman The Rolling Stones...Punk rock movies played were The Clash, DOA, Sid And Nancy, Christiane F, Ziggy Stardust.

Cool.. Eraserhead was always at the Waverly and then I forgot there was a movie called Basket Case. And they had this movie DR. Giggles about a Crazy Nut Doctor who can't stop laughing..

i used to go to the angelika's midnight movies to see GUMMO - i went once rip-roaring drunk, and i believe that's the best way to see that movie.

i also saw FASTER PUSSYCAT! KILL, KILL! at midnight at film forum, but that was a special viewing. it was great to see it on a big screen, though.

My first month in NY, I saw 2001 by myself at the old, long-gone revival theater on 8th Street. A rat ran across my feet.

Oh yeah, I forgot..8th Street Playhouse was where Rocky Horror played and they played Divine movies like Pink Flamingos.
