it's a shame i can't ever find any live footage of it on youtube but the covers sad

Yes, he did Jesus Children at the Detroit show two summers ago.

I thought the concert was excellent! Stevie is da man. biggrin Did anyone catch the talk box medley, which was brilliant? I also liked the preview of the new song, "You Are The Only One For Me," which he performed during this concert as well. I'm just glad I have this DVD in my collection.

his live vocal is still so good after all these years, when I went to the concert in Rotterdam, I was allowed to get inside a little earlier than others (because I have a disability and wheelchairs first...so lucky) cause of that though I was able to hear some soundcheck and Stevie was warming up his voice, that man's vocal range is sick heard way low notes and way high notes without going into falsetto.

Bought and watched last night.

Brilliant, the man still has it, and had me welling up a few times, such a poet, and his speech at the end was very moving.

He brightened my day after i had to have my pet cat put to sleep yesterday. sad

Bravo!
This dvd is incredible. I really enjoyed it. It was given to me as a present on Friday the 13th. Steveland Morris is the shizzzzidlle!
Saw his feting on PBS by President Obama a couple of weeks ago.
There was this incredible stand up bass player/vocalist named Esperalda Spalding on there. She is phenomenal on acoustic bass just like Tal Wilkenfeld is on electric bass guitar. Whew!!!!!

thank you.

Watched this DVD again last night, the home straight from Part-time Lover to the end is great, the whole DVD is. i wish i'd gone.

I'm hoping Stevie/Motown will see sense and release some earlier stuff too. I always see this clip from something called 'Musicladen' on VH1 classic, early 70s, i want more like that.

I went out and bought it today.

Sitting here watching the second half....he's introducing the band right now.

I can only say one thing:

"WHAT A SHOW!" eek worship cool

For those of you wondering, he sang "London Bridge" through a vocoder while the band played a reggae riddim....actually the whole medley segment was performed like this.

Jah bless Steveland Morris.

Indeed. nod cool
