Never thought about it that way. Her version of "Je T'aime" is great! I have a two CD version that I assume has all the tracks from the 3 LPs. BTW, I think this is the pick of the month from the Donna Summer tribute site.

Interestingly,"Je Taime" is the song that inspired Donna's own "Love To Love You Baby",so I guess she finally decided to pay tribute and record her own version.

I've heard that before. Some people make the leap that it was nearly a cover. I think they are similar in approach but not quite the same song.

The movie isn't really great as far as plot and acting, but is a fun throwaway.

Diana Ross' contribution "Lovin,Livin,Givin'" sounds like a cheap Giorgio Moroder rip-off

There are two very different versions of this song. First pressings of the soundtrack have the original mix with acoustic orchestration. Sudsequent pressings and reissues have been that synthesized, robotic "I Feel Love" knock off. As far as I know, the original mix has never been issued on CD.

Serious? Wow,that's interesting.I have the soundtrack on vinyl....I'm gonna pull it out and see if it's one of the early pressings.I have the double CD and it contains the robotic,Giorgio Moroder-sounding version of ""Lovin,Livin And Givin".

The soundtrack was good but the movie sucked ass outside of the live
performances by the commodores and donna summer.
