does anyone know what sufjan stevens is up to? i can't find any
info on upcoming releases on wikipedia or his recordcompany site.

i found this amazing 10+ minute epic cover of the castanets song
"you are the blood" which totally rocks and bounces and stutters.

coupled to the last new track i heard some time ago which came
with a magazine cd "in the words of the governor", i think the
new album could be very interesting indeed.

oh, and let's not forget the very beautiful "the lord god bird"

this song is like an album rolled into a 10 minute songfest. it
has everything from drummachine loops to solo piano to crackles
and scratches to choirs and chaos and simply beautiful melody.

that song seems to be the only rumbling from sufjan of late, and it's going to be available on an upcoming red hot compilation (i think it'll be out this month?).

no news on any new state album or any other project. he was working on a stage piece last year and i think he's been producing some acts on asthmatic kitty records, but that's about it.
