What's the big deal?

Picked up Avant and was I was disappointed.
'Sailing' was interesting but it sounds like he wants to think he Prince or something.

very dissapointed also. its like he's lost his whole direction and focus. sailing sounds so familiar because its a cover of christpher cross's version. he brings nothing new to the track, however i would have liked to seen him go more into this direction than rely on those heavy ghetto referentials.

This was my introduction and it serves him poorly.

I have a couple of his albums and I haven't been impressed with any of them. This is the first album I can tolerate...and that's not saying much.

avant to me:

has a good voice, usually drops cool singles, but his albums are always terrible.

this album was "ehh" to me.
