Fabolous' Credit Cards Declined

January 28, 2009
Link

A lot of entertainers are feeling the effects of the recession, some you wouldn't expect. Most recently, it seems as if rapper Fabolous is one of them.

According to reports, the rapper had some credit card troubles when he and his entourage were partying at a restaurant in Atlanta.

Fab and his crew showed up at the Eros World Tapas Bar on Saturday (January 24) with an entourage of more than 20, a source said. They asked for "the usual excess of champagne and alcohol, so the manager asked for a credit card to start a tab."

This is when the trouble began. The rapper's credit cards were all decline.

"By the fifth credit card, the entourage member designated to take care of his tab goes outside," the source revealed, "only to start a fight with the outside bouncer. He tripped and fell, hitting his head on the concrete and started bleeding."

This is when the manager called an ambulance. But, when the entourage member saw the police, he began "running away, blood oozing down his face."

Despite the mishap, Fabolous and his entourage stayed, ordered champagne, but had to pay in cash.

At press time, reps for both the restaurant and the rapper declined to comment.

yea putting everything on CC ( if a necessity only) is fine in dire times but not saving and partying when u got no dough especially when one WANTS to party and not NEEDS to party, that is dumb. Need and want HUUGE difference.

I don't know who he is, but you should always call your credit card company for your balance and available credit to save the embarrassment.

In THIS economy, I'd suggest NOT having an entourage of 20 hongree muthafuckas or better yet drink at home. Fool! hah!

I can see this happening. I worked for a famous hotel in Philly at the Front Desk and a whole mess of celebrity cards were declined.

My most famous declined card was Will Smith right after "Independnce Day" came out. He was nice about it and wanted me to run it again, he had to get a card from his entourage.

By the next year Will's cards were straight. (he was always very friendly and once tried to get me to come to his suite in the middle of the night, but I didn't swing that way. LOL)

I don't remember the last time Fabulous had a hit so he's probably broke.
