Stephanie Mills' whole discography between 1974 and 1983 need proper remastering.

Sweet Sensation is the only one that has been remastered if I'm not mistaken hmmm

Stephanie Mills' "Stephanie" and "Sweet Sensation" have been remastered and will be available next month as Japan Imports. The current "Sweet Sensation" CD out on the market right now is an issue from Vinyl Masterpieces, which, of course, was mastered from a vinyl source. I'm hoping Universal will do the right thing by following through and reissuing the 2 lone Mills' albums that have never been issued on CD, "Tantalizingly Hot" and "Merciless".

Other albums I would like to see reissued are:

Melba Moore "Read My Lips" and "Never Say Never"
Evelyn King "A Long Time Coming" and "Face To Face"
Joyce Kennedy "Lookin For Trouble"
Alicia Myers "I Fooled You This Time"
Vanity "Skin On Skin" and "Wild Animal"
Jennifer Holiday "Say You Love Me"

"Chaka Khan" and "The Golden Child" CDs were issued as Japan imports in the early 90s. Natalie Cole's "Thankful" was issued here in the states a few years back. All are out of print now and very pricey. And I am really surprised that Atlantic has failed to reissue Aretha's late 70's stuff. Some of it was really good. "La Diva" was pretty frightful, though. biggrin

Now that one went out of print fast!!! Probably because that was the only Rufus/Chaka title that had not been reissued domestically. People snatched that one up fast!!! Got mine for $9.99! biggrin

Because they weren't big sellers.

And La Diva was a disco disaster disbelief Nile Rogers was skeptical about those materials, he even wondered out-loud why on earth would she sing those songs? lol

But I ain't gonna lie, I loved this song..

love music

So many of the albums from the first wave of CD releases sound horrible. A few I'd enjoy hearing cleaned up:

Opal - Happy Nightmare Baby. The CD release is absolutely atrocious - one of the worst sounding discs I've ever heard. I'd always assumed it was just a bad recording until I found a 12" single of Soul Giver that sounds fantastic.
The Saints - All Fools Day.
That Petrol Emotion - Babble & Manic Pop Thrill
