Raekwon The Chef AKA Lex Diamonds - North Star (Jewels) From off the Classic Mafioso Concept Album: "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx". Some say this was the catalyst for this sub-genre; a pivotal point in the darker, murkier mood that resonated throughout Inner-City New York (Or at least, didn't become discernible until The RZArector and his Clan Divulged This Pandemic) during the time when the West Coast were taking over.
Unabashedly borrowing some of the stylistics from Kool "G" Rap, Wu-Tang Clan made an impact. Five Percenter Vernacular/Lingo sprawled all over this implicitly cinematic mastery on wax, although esoteric, was charming all the same. Contemporary Noir, I ignorantly purport, is how you could sum it up, succinctly. Ghostface Killah's "Catch-As-Catch-Can" rapping style contributed and complemented RZA's Idiosyncratic, yet profound production style, heavily. All elements were formidable and bountiful, to the amber accord of its mellifluous flowery. They knew how to give grace and elegance to a raw, uncanny, unkempt, uncouth body of aurally-encompassing work. Try to dissect the dichotomy of those two powerful elements: Pauper with Proper. Urban Artistry at it's finest. Or so I've heard, anyway. I've heard some of these songs, but this one is so fucking chill to me! Take heed to these horribly-written words for your perusal and at your own risk. This was precarious of me. Sorry. I'm bad at writing synopses. I can't seem to stop listening to this track. I don't know what it is. Popa Wu's drunken slurred vocals (Something about them just work, here.), the strings, or the piano. So ethereal. So smooth. This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

I don't know why, but Heaven & Hell isn't hittin' like I'd like it to. Then again, I'm not sure I can get into anything, today. It's just not my day. This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

It's another case of me liking how Bobby put it down on the instrumentation. PrestiDIGITation for days on the boards. However, the verses were too short. Ghost & Rae are storytellin' magellin' like WHOA, but they end it on a short note, leaving the rest of the track to Blue Rasberry's showboating vox. I'm getting a feeling that this song was really supposed to be an outlet to plug in her singing chops (Which are kind of iffy, here.). I don't know, man. I finally think it's hittin' me the way I want it to. Even though, I still wish their had another verse on Heaven and Hell. This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun
