Believe it or not, I pay 0 attention to the lyrics,,,,but the song itself is kinda bangin' and I know why its such a sample material I didn't get the chance to listen to it untill recently, its no wonder why alot of people are crazy about it.

you sure it's not soca....that's the music they play over their? I know . But it was not as I was staying with a rastaman and he was listening to reggae all the time. And the one time when soca was played when we were out eating he told me that it is soca they are playing . I am not familiar enough with soca, but what I heard is not really my kind of music I guess. I didn't enjoy the reggae at all in the beginning and I couldn't believe how many songs artists can make just singing about praising smoking marijuana . But after some time I got used to it. It was somehow meditative after listening to it again and again and in the end I really enjoyed it to my surprise. BTW it was funny to play a CD of my favourite songs to 2 rastamen who usually don't listen to that kind of music . I recently saw the movie The Sweet Hereafter, and in it there's a cover of the rock song "Courage" (originally by The Tragically Hip) performed by actress Sarah Polley.
The original is an upbeat guitar-driven romp -- energetic, albeit cynical. Polley turned the song into an absolutely hearbreaking lament. Her version is beautiful, but it's sooooo sad. It's amazing how re-orchestration and tempo can entirely transform a song. I've been listening to both a lot this week.
