"I wanted some big bitches who could wail" said Sylvester, and found MARTHA WASH
"Carry on" was a small hit from her only studio album.

Great, robust voice but her material has always been subpar.

Yeah, for the most part I agree. Although the first Two Tons O' Fun album is OUTSTANDING. Harvey Fuqua and them big girls turned that sucka out!!! I just received my Two Tons O' Fun greatest hits CD in the mail last Saturday. The tracks on it that were from the first album were pretty good. However, those tracks from that second album definately weren't all that. I think Two Tons O' Fun's second album was from 1981. Well, I received another CD Saturday that I ordered also. It was a CD that contained Sylvester's first album from 1977 and his album called "Too Hot To Sleep" from 1981. I loved every track on Sylvester's first album. However, Sylvester and the gang must not have been feeling too well in 1981 because almost the entire "Too Hot To Sleep" album was horrible except for the title track and maybe one other track. The whole thing was ballads and they weren't even good ballads. He wasn't even singing in his falsetto either. If I'm not mistaken, I think he even assumed the role of a straight man in one of the songs (definately not classic Sylvester). I don't know, maybe it was something in the water back in 1981 for both Sylvester and Two Tons O' Fun. Andy is a four letter word.

Oh, I forgot. As for Martha's solo album, I liked a lot of stuff on it such as....
So Whatcha Gonna Do I'm Gonna Give It To You Runaround Carry On Hold On Just Us (Dancin') Andy is a four letter word.

So Whatcha Gonna Do I'm Gonna Give It To You Runaround Carry On Hold On Just Us (Dancin') This was the other song I liked. I thought it was a mild hit at least. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
