Thanks 4 posting this video. I totally Love Raphael Saadiq. Hes one of the few artist I am feeling right now.

That's a tight-a video.

Its a nice vid but I dont feel this song too much

Has he got a cold ...what happend to his voice ...videos good but the song is weak...and i like RS ...oh dear he should speak to Amy if he's gonna try to recreate a motown vibe ...sounds sad but ..its true...

I have not got the album but a RS fan told me it falls down in alot of places not his strongest.. or close to Lucy Pearl work (solo stuff)?

I will say that it is a different type of album (like his other solo projects), but I like this one much better than Instant Vintage or Ray Ray. I don't really count the Lucy Pearl project (since it wasn't a solo project). Lucy Pearl was great, but went lacking (imo).

I will say that 100 Yard Dash is not the best song on the project. I would rank "Never Give You Up" (with CJ Hilton and Stevie Wonder) or "Just One Kiss" (with Joss Stone) among the best on the project, but 100 Yard Dash is toward the top also.

I've heard Instant Vintage and it's not great so it's not hard for a man of RS talent to do better ...strange he pick that song for release ...why he must have a track on the album where it's just him no one else that's a good follow up to "Love that Girl" ? ....you have to count Lucy Peal as it manily his thing...from a music point of view RS is a group artist he need to get back with Tony Toni Tone ...asap or Lucy Pearl with a new creative lead (female singer....ther are loads out their he could work with...)

But that video is corny he's reaching lol trying too hard to be "60s-ish" and the whole thing became abit too gimmickry for my taste.

I like the video. It has a modern-60s feel to it. They weren't trying to mimic a 60s video, but they used the staging. I like it better than the first video for Love That Girl.

I like the video and the album is fantastic!

That's exactly what I was expecting to see.

I mean, what else are you gonna do other than make a video that illustrates the era you're trying to emulate or the song's lyrics???

I think he pulled it off very well and I really like the album. Had me snappin my fingers from the first few opening bars. Excellent!

His album was easily the best album of 08 for me.
