I like the cover, but the tracklisting is terrible

Where's Walk Right Now? That song still holds up excellently.

I guess it's worth it for the cover but I already have these songs, including the ones they didn't add to this compilation.

Those are quietly released for a reason....they are garbage collections. Would it be shocking at this point if even they manage to get one out of Micheal ("Essential MJ" wasn't exactly high profile although it did sell and got some hype due to his name) Maybe it works if you've had one hit, but they often suck if you're an act that has multiple hits (even worse if you were on multiple labels). And considering they are often released by artists that have a ton of these sets out already...It's got to stop!

I wouldn't even give a second look to a Jacksons set without "Can You Feel It?".

That would be a great compilation thumbs up! I swear, the record labels should ask for advice from the fans when they put these compilations together.

It would be great if they release some TV performances on CD like this one:

I disagree (no offence bboy87), too much crap, mainly anything post-Triumph on disc2.

I have the 'very special disco version' of enjoy Yourself on UK 12". It's not special at all. it's just the song restarting again at the end, same thing twice!

smacks Marrk for disagreeing

lol

I was trying to cover the entire 1976-1989 period and give people like us who already have the albums, a slight reason to buy it lol

Marrk, I got into a debate with someone because they were complaining about SonyBMG releasing the deluxe editions of Destiny and Triumph

now get this....

THEY NEVER OWNED THE ALBUMS, JUST HEARD THEM THROUGH SOME FANS SENDING THEM SONGS

matter of fact, I'll just post the various comments for you all to read:

oh for god sake, this is so stupid.
I HOPE NO ONE BUYS THIS!!!!

his is ridiculous.. they have to stop doing this.. Everyone i know has at least one of michael jackson/ jackson 5's albums.
They cant expect people to keep rebuying their music.
I have all of those songs.. We want new material..

I don't have either of those albums, but I'm sort of mad at Sony for re-releasing all of Michael's music. I don't think it's right to take advantage of the fans like that.

i thought "not another re-release.. surely?!" I won't be buying it either, i hope many people don't so that Sony finally realise they can't keep taking advantage of the fans like this.

didnt have any j5 albums before but now have a 3 CD hits collection
and thats enough i guess

^^^Idiots.

Don't folks care about better sound quality? Destiny especially sounds fantastic.

As for re-releases? i'm happy to replace music that got lost damaged or stolen. I've had Destiny 3x on vinyl, once on casette and twice now on CD over the years.

Between OTW and Thriller i'm probably into the high teens how many times i've replaced them on various formats, can't wait for OTW30 (if it has something unreleased on it, i'm there!

A jam from the Whoopie movies "Burglar", was a singles. It's the Jacksons when they consisted of the two eldest and the youngest brother (the middle three were solo at the time.)
