I haven't bought the cd, I listened to a few downloads and checked it out in the record store. Musically it seems she's taking a few different directions and it sounds like there might be some good songs here. Anybody have this record? I'm not a fan of the single, but the other stuff doesn't seem too bad.

I read that when she was making the music video for a song on this album called Beautiful, she put an ad in the paper to get some girls to be in it.

stripped is an awesome cd. i highly recommend it. it's alot different than what you'd expect from her and worth it.

'beautiful' is a great song. it's about learning to love yourself no matter what other people say about you.

my other favorites are 'cruz' and 'walk away'

'dirrty' totally overshadows the tone of the cd. so don't judge it by this one single.

Stripped has some nice songs it, but as a whole it's not conceptually cohesive. Many of the tracks wander aimlessly and it seems contrived artistically. Overall, if you want to buy it, it's your dollar.

I think it's one of the best albums of 2002- probably in my top three. There is a good variety of styles represented here under a singular "Christina" sound- kinda like Prince. The results may vary- example, comparing Dirrty to Beautiful- but most of the disc is impressive and just leaves you wondering how it came from Christina Aguilera. In the end, Christina is in a class of her own, distancing herself from the mindless pop of her peers.

As i wrote somewhere b4, this release was a pleasant surprise ... mayb it was bcause my xpectations were so low, but i really enjoy this cd. I'm nowhere near interested in the Christina-Britney battle, but i'd say this round is clearly Xtina's. Worth checking out.
