I have to admit,I used to do crazy things like that, too In the late 80s,I paid a small fortune for a vinyl copy of Prince's "Black Album".I didn't think it was ever gonna be officially released,so I wanted a good bootleg vinyl copy.
Of course,it was finally released in 1994,which made me look like a fool

kitbradley said: I hate to admit it but I paid $300 for Deniece Williams' "Niecy" CD a few years ago! This is the most valuable CD I own. I hope no one reissues that one!
I got that CD and it was NOT cheap, but it wasn't no $300 dollars! I don't think I've spent more than $100 on any one single disc item.

I have to admit, I was caught up in the moment. I chatted with David Nathan about 3 years ago and asked him the likely hood of "Niecy" being reissued here in the United States and, at that time, he said it was highly unlikely. He had appoached Sony about it a couple of times and they simply were not interested in reissuing any of Deniece's titles that were not already available. So, I think the best anyone can hope for is another Japan reissue. It's still a rare title. I haven't seen it on ebay in a while and when it does, it always goes for triple digits.
Another Japanese CD that has eluded me because of the $$$ is the "Krush Groove" Original Soundtrack. It is beyond me why Warner Brothers has refused to reissue this in the United States. It always goes for triple digits on the rare ocassions it shows up on ebay. Although last time, it did sell for a measly $99. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

It pisses me off the way record companies "decide" what should and what shouldn't get re-issued My attitude is,just release it! I'm sure there are many fans around the world who would buy the 'Niecy' CD.Many fans and critics think it's her best album.

The keyword here being "vinyl". As in NOT CD I didn't know people were still buying vinyl. I've noticed a lot of used record stores are trying to get rid of their used vinyl stock by pricing everything at $2 or less. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
