El has always talked out of both sides of his mouth. The Debarges have always been ghetto, but back in the day, Motown put a lid on their natural tendencies. Plus, El didn't look "ghetto'. He was classically handsome. I think El was trying to stay relevant, plus he had 11 mouths to feed, not to mention handing over money to babysmamas.

Oh Drama...I remember how must that show sucked.*smh*

Yeah, the show was like the poor man's version of "The View." I'll never forget when El was on there with DJ Quik. He had on an all black leather outfit with his hair hanging down to his shoulders. I was like, "What in the hamhocks?" Nonetheless El sounded good when he sung a snippet of "All This Love."

nod there ya go, I knew I wasn't the only one who saw this.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Of course, Motown put a lid on how they really were. And they definitely had to cover some of their scandals up. But just like the Jacksons, a lot of people, myself included, thought they were soft-spoken and bashful. Oh how I've been fooled.

Here's a nice clip of El on the piano singing on an old video soul show:

Well, El has said that he is not really a forward type person, that he is shy and not really a people person. That most likely is true. Yes, El still has it. I have seen clips of him singing from 2006-08 and he is still hitting the notes.

He wasn't all that shy when he threatened that blogger guy biggrin . But I can understand what you're saying because I've heard him say he's shy and is more of a behind the scenes type of person.

Are you serious? Cause the way he was goin' on, it was like El DeBarge himself really emailed him and lit into his behind. Even when someone questioned the authenticity of it, he was like, "Well, it was confirmed by a family member so I don't know what else to tell you." Umph, umph, umph.

I really don't care for DJ Quik. He needs to be slapped for having those braids in his hair.

I think if you go on his site and look at his later posts, he admits to it. The whole thing pissed me off. I didn't think it was funny.
