This was my theme song Armand Van Helden is kind of a wierd one. His house shit is top notch but he wants to go electronic and it doesn't quite work. At least for me, no. Is that Sweet Pussy Pauline or am I thinking of something else? I had one foot on the ceiling and the other on the dresser and the muthafucka dove right in. He asked me: Am I hurtin you? Hurting me? Muthafucka, you are ticklin me! That vogue battle I talk about in the beginning was seriously the most righteously insane thing I've ever seen on a dancefloor. This was 90 or 91 and these 2 Houses from New York were in town and they gave the DJ a mix and then had their battle to it. At this point LA did not have a House but after these houses visited, one was established. I think it was called the House of Extravaganza. Anyway, my friend and I had dropped acid that night and had no idea there were 2 dance crews there. We were in the back watching Jane Child Sing her one hit wonder "Don't Want to Fall In Love". Imagine how shocked we were when we walked back there and saw her standing there at the keyboard. Talk about acid trip So we watch her perform and we go back out to the front of the club and I went one way and my friend went the other. I got caught up with this fat girl who was doing this bizarre ass dance and then my friend came and grabbed me and said Richard you NEED to come over and see this shit So he leads me to the center of the dancefloor where there was a circle of people and we got to the inner edge of the circle and these 2 dudes were vogueing. One of them I know his name was Jr, can't remember the other and they were from a House in New York, not sure which one though. So the sequence of music during this battle was Coco Steel And Lovebomb's "Feel It', then to Sweet Pussy Pauline (the song quoted above) and then into an extended mix of Dubbreak. to this day thinking about the fucking brilliant battle makes me want to weep. It was the most amazing awesome thing ever. Jr. was fucking out. of. control. The other dude was very good too, amazing but Jr. couldn't be topped. That thing where he convulsed to the floor and then came right back up as if he never went down and batting that whole time. I never developed any talent in this area but had I had training and all that I'm sure I could have been a master voguer I'm flexible enough I wish that shit was recorded because there really is no way to desrcibe it. Imagine 2 dudes like the first guy voguing in that third video but harder and way fiercer than that. Jr. was the fucking shit 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Is it legendary? It should be that's for sure It was at the old Stuido One. Now I think the club is called The Factory. I know there were at least 2 houses and one of them was from New York. The shit was off the hook and there really are no words to describe it but I keep trying! Back in those days I was wearing my outfit, the one I'm wearing in my profile, and this one samoan drag queen called me out one time and I wasn't thinkin I was gonna do battle but I went in there and worked my fucking ass off! I demolished that bitch and when I turned around to give someone else the chance to do battle the stupid cunt pushed me in the back to the floor At least I know I kicked her fucking ass dancewise FUCKING FIERCE [b][Edited 1/25/09 15:35pm] 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Trip hop is very chiiled mellow and dark jungle and DnB are a different thing in itself
