Does anyone remember Jobriath

Does anyone remember a 70s glam singer called Jobriath (Real name Bruce Campbell, born 1946 Philadelphia, died August 1983), who was openly gay and got a big record deal in 1974, and had a colourful band with gay guys and drag queens. But his career never tok off due to homophobia and problems with the band and the vibes. He died of AIDS in 1983 and never had a chance to realise his success. Its quite sad as there was such big dreams for him and the album [promotion in 1973 even included buses with his torso on them and a 42 by 42 foot billboard in times square.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I think I heard about him on some "what happened to them" type tv show or documentary - here's a link to a performance he did for (?) The Midnight Special...
