A lotta Sheena-Luv this week cool
Miss Got-The-Look sexy

Solid performance she did with a tight band, on a tv-show back then.

SHEENA does not get enough love at all!! She had alot of hits before Prince, but i will say he did bring out the best in her, i think A Private Heaven onward was kind of like Mariah's transformation, accept Sheena knows how to "be sexy" without having to throw it at you. I mean just check her performance on Solid Gold doing STRUT, that was one of the hottest things back in the day!!

She sounds great there, and the band sound great, but watching her perform you can really see her cabaret roots. lol

falloff Then i'm not the only one who noticed it. Some stiff moves indeed, but her subtle sideway-slides
together with the backgroundsingers during the instrumental solos-break are more natural and united.
And some of those synths sound so plastic imo, lol. The analog-sounding piano + the sax-solo are cool though.

lol Yeah, they were trying to package her as "funky", but her true roots are pretty obvious in that performance. wink

I love the song though, and her voice is strong. cool

Powervoice indeed ! Still wanna check some of her earlier work. She started somewhere around 1980-1983 ?
And her Sign"O"Times-performance was also okay. Was there ever an official clip for "Sugar Walls" though ?

You should get her Standards album "NO STRINGS"

Then, you'll see if she has limited talent.

Thank U...I was going to suggest that myself! That's a great album!
If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!
