Obscure Jam of the Day: "Digging Your Scene" by The Blow Monkeys This Jam is from 86. I always thought they had potential.

I have their Greatest Hits album "Choices"
this one and "Out With Her" are wonderful "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

They weren't that successful in the states but in the UK, they had 6 top 40 singles and released 5 albums

This is not as obscure as it once was...This is the jam! "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I always thought the lead singer was cute-now seeing the video, not so much "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

The album and single version sounds better than the video...I dont know why they cut out all the high pictched background vocalists in the video.

This is not as obscure as it once was...This is the jam! Yeah, top 20 in the U.S. back in '86 so it was getting played nationally at the time.

I like Rahsaan Patterson's cover of "Diggin' Your Scene", which is on his second album. You can check it out here

Great song. Modern rock band Ivy did a good cover of it a few years back.

Thanks for this!! I never knew this existed, I'm really diggin' his version, (no pun intended). I am trying to take elements from the orginal version and place it into this version, like the sax. Not to much just that sax intro. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
