Concerts / Gigs

Who've you seen live? I love going to gigs but as I get older I seem to go to fewer each year and there are so many bands I wanna see..

What gigs have you been to but more importantly who would you love to see?
Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

i burnt out on concerts last year, i think. especially general admission concerts. i think from this year on, i'm going to have to REALLY want to see the band in order to drag myself to a show; that, or else it'll have to be something purely social where i don't care about having a good sight line with the stage.

that said, we're roadtripping to ames, iowa this weekend to see leslie & the lys. lol

2008 was a "lean" year for me, too. I only saw Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, and the Experience Hendrix tour. I had to sell my Jill Scott tix because I had surgery. sad

hmmm Over the years, I've seen (in no particular order)

- Santana (5 times)
- Robert Randolph (3 times)

- Jill Scott

- Depeche Mode (twice)
- Stanley Jordan at least (4 times)
- Wynton Marsalis/John Faddis (Battle of the Bands at Lincoln Center)
- Billy Joel
- Reggae SunSplash
- Bela Fleck & the Flecktones (3 times)

I'm sure some are escaping me at the moment... biggrin

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

missing a few that i can't recall at the moment.

getting better about it. i'm more willing to do it anyway.
