‘The Voice’ is back !

Whitney Houston made her first major appearance in 2009 at BET Honors Saturday looking beautiful and ready to get back to business. Whitney was not present on the red carpet before the show but appeared to receive a standing ovation when introduced by Tyler Perry.

I knew it was Whitty Hutton. Did she sing? She looks fab but I still have bad memories.

hmm well she is looking fabulous! Guess i'll have to tune in to see how the voice sounds.

They didn't say if she sang or not (Monica was there and she sang). But reports say Whitney WILL sing at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash, I guess it still remains to be seen plus her new album reportedly is scheduled for release in March.

Apparently Whitney was one of several people who recorded "boring R&B" as he put it. Actually in Whitney's days, a lot of people accused her of being a sell-out after 1986 or 1987 because her music was "a bore" to several black record buyers. Plus the girl can't or couldn't really dance so he started calling her "Shitney Houston". He's been hating Whitney since 1985.

She looks great,but I'm not looking forward to her new album.It includes songs written and produced by R.Kelly,Ne-Yo,John Legend and others So basically,we already know what it's gonna sound like.

She does look great, and I like that dress,
but can she still sing, that last video gave me the impression that she couldn't.

Whitney looks great. I keep hoping that she will do a Natilie Cole style comeback. After all the drugs that Natalie did that derailed her career, she looks and sounds better than ever.

I agree.I'd rather hear her doing big,schmaltzy pop numbers again ("Didn't We Always Have It All","I Will Always Love You",etc) instead of trying to do the urban R&B thing.Songs like "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Whatchulookinat" are NOT her style,imo.

Whitney looks well. Can't stand her music but she is looking good.

A clean wig, a little makeup, a lot of upholstery fabric, and it's almost like she was never a crackhead!
