Whitney and Georgie: If I Told You That

I think this is the WORST participation of George Michael. Why did he do this? The song is lame, not even Michael Jackson would have used it on Invincible (the song was written by the Darkchild guys), and George's vocals are high pitched. Has anyone ever noticed that? It was altered, the first time since Fantastic but most of the Fantastic songs are better than this!!!

PS: I think he looks good in the video. The last time he looks good in a video. I dunno, something bad has happened rapidly with his looks and voice from 2001 til 2004. Suddenly you can tell his voice has lowered and sounds smokey and his hair got thin.

I like the original version from her album, better. This track did not need remixing and I think was trying to capitalize on both of the singer's popularity at the time.

I like Whitney's solo version and the duet but George's best. I also like the way they interact in the video... if they're even on the same set together. You know how things are these days and this is why I feel so many duets lack soul or passion. The singers aren't actually recording the song together and playing off of each other's delivery and emotion. They're basically phoning in their vocals.

Anywho, George's looks have declined rather rapidly in a short period of time and I can't help but think that it's from the type of life he's been living.

nod The original was one of my favorites on her album. I hated the remix when I first heard it (even though I'm a big fan of both). I've come to tolerate it as the years go by, but it still sounds like George phoning it in in a way I'd never heard before.

George is definitely doing harder drugs than weed.

Yeah, quite a few duets are recorded individually but sometimes something is missing. I can't explain it but it's like there's no soul or it's not organic. Maybe it's the technology or the artists. The Byonce/Justin duet was so empty to me but take any Roberta and Donny duet and it's full of life. Maybe they were separate too but there's something lacking in a lot of the duets today.
