Cause most people are not old enough to remember it.

True. Frankly, I think that this is his best album....Thriller being his worse on many levels.

The media's attention on "Thriller" do make it seem bad, lol. Least that's how I look at it. It's still mainly a good album but OTW is better IMO. cool

That title would go to....Blood On The Dancefloor or Invincible lol

No...Invincible wasn't. I considered it this generation's "Bad". I still play it often. I just don't think that it was promoted properly.

Yes, indeed! OFF THE WALL IS THE BEST ADULT MICHAEL JACKSON ALBUM.

Period. hmph! Always has been to me, always will be.

(I only say "adult" 'cause I rank little Michael's solo albums differently. smile)

I remember back in 2003, Toure' was talking about how Michael was being an idiot for blaming Sony for the low sales and it didn't sell because it was a terrible album. Although it's not my favorite, I felt people would be singing a different tune and see that's better than what was originally said

and I was right, I've heard so many times that the album is alot better as time has passed

It's just the flaws/duds are so apparent:
Heartbreaker
The Lost Children
Threatened
Cry
Privacy
2001 Watts

What MJ fans ignore Off the Wall? Five year olds? Off the Wall constantly comes up in the plethora of MJ-music threads and is argued as one of his best if not the best of his solo career. Seriously...

Well, in MJ forums many usually consider Dangerous his best album....
Yet critics say Off the Wall is his best.

Dangerous... Off the Wall... still it's in the top and considered one of his best albums. Anyone overlooking either is too young to appreciate it or just doesn't like it.

First of all in the org OTW is quite popular. I still think most of MJs active fans (in forums) are 90s kids and think Blood On The Dancefloor would be the essentiel MJ.

Seconf, Jay, youÄre right. Invincible has got some amazing songs, but some really bad ones too. It has 16 songs, right? what if you'd delete 6 or even 7 of them? It would be so much better!!!

My version would be like this: (but not in this order)

1. "Break of Dawn"
2. "Heaven Can Wait"
3. "You Rock My World"
4. "Butterflies"
5. "Speechless"
6. "Don't Walk Away"
7. "Cry"
8. "Whatever Happens"

erm... I'd like to act The Way You Love Me to this..

so, as you see it's mostly the fast tracks that don't work. And it's the fast tracks that made OTW and Thriller so special!!!

And sometimes people on this website say that "destiny" and "Triumph" are better albums than "OFF the wall" eek , I don't know what to believe seriously they confuse me so much....LOL

Some many MJ fans rate "OFf the wall" as their favorite record, I love "OFF the wall" ,really a great record.

Privacy is the worst song on the album eek , and possibly the worst song Mj ever recorded eek , I just don't like it.

I'd add a couple of more tracks
Unbreakable
Invincible
Break Of Dawn
Heaven Can Wait
You Rock My World
Butterflies
Fall Again
Don't Walk Away
Whatever Happens
Escape

I'm writing an essay on the 30th anniversary of Off The Wall like the ones I did for Thriller 25 and Bad 20

I don't think I'm gonna post it here though because I don't want to add to the MJ flooding lol
