Anita Baker or Marc Anthony?

Who should I see for Valentine's Day?

I've never seen either but like both.

Or should I see neither...

I was thinking Anita might put me to sleep but Marc might make me want to dance but since it's V-Day he may have me snoozing too.

But the live music behind Anita should be nice.

I love her voice though. mushy I've never seen her live, but a lot of these types of "old school" concerts tend to be a lot of fun because of the crowd's nostalgia.

Yeah. I was surprised to see there weren't many shows in the area on that day or at least shows I'm interested in.

Ironically, Ne-yo is gonna be in Dallas on Feb. 15th with Musiq Soulchild and Jazmine Sullivan. Although I have NO desire to see Neyo, I wouldn't mind seeing Musiq. Jazmine I saw with Maxwell in Nov, she was surprisingly VERY good live. I need to see if I can come up on some free tix. hmmm

Ne-yo is a no-no. no no no! I am not a fan. Not feeling Jazmine.

I do think Marc would be exciting! Once I hear some Latin percussion it's over.

But I think I'm leaning towards Anita just based on the piano in Giving You the Best That I've Got. If ever a slow song needed an extended mix that would be it.

If you want something more laid back Anita is your person. But you know Marc Anthony has a lot more mid-tempo/faster tracks that Anita Baker. And if he's doing any Hector Lavoe stuff you know u will be out your seat dancing lol

She is the ONLY artist that I've ever went out and purchased their entire catalogue the day after seeing them live.

I saw Marc Anthony in concert back in 2002.This was when he had that excellent 'Mended' CD,so much of the setlist came from that album. It was a fun, vibrant show.

Rent these DVDs and decide.

I would personally pick Anita. That's mainly because I'm a bigger fan of hers. I like Marc, but I don't know if I could look at his face for 2 hours. lol

I was contemplating on going to that show.

I've seen Musiq live and he SUX....ROYALLY!!! He is definitely a studio performer. He was all out of tune. Maybe it was the venue (it was at the Granada). I want to see Ne-Yo. I think he is a good performer and would like to see how he does with an entire show. I would also like to see Jazmine. She has a great voice, but her album is just "ok" to me.

Anita: $44.50 - $129.50 (seems like you still pay $129 to sit in mezzanine!)

Marc: $79.50 - $154.50

So Anita is cheaper....and you're still asking!
