Ivory Joe Hunter - "Since I Met You Baby"

This thread got me thinking about another of my favorite love songs, the classic Since I Met You Baby by Ivory Joe Hunter. It topped the black singles chart and went to #12 pop in 1957.

Great song.

A very able songwriter that generally gets overlooked in most discussions.
Many of his songs had a very country feel

Ain't That Loving You Baby (covered by Elvis Presley)
Empty Arms (covered by Teresa Brewer, Reba McEntire, O.C. Smith)
Waiting In Vain (covered by James Brown)

...I Almost Lost My Mind
(covered by Louie Prima, Pat Boone, Bill Haley, The Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran, Fats Domino, Nat King Cole, etc)

Nice one! I don't know many of his tunes, but I know and love that one.

And I see that the video I posted has since been removed. They're on it these days!
