Justin Timberlake to Record "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" with Leona Lewis Justin Timberlake and Leona Lewis will be teaming up to do a Whitney Houston cover.
Pop singer Justin Timberlake is taking new British songstress Leona Lewis under his wing, while the two are planning to record a duet that is bound to be a hit in 2009. The two singers will collaborate on a new version of the Whitney Houston classic, I Will Always Love You. According to a report from Britain's The Sun, Timberlake wants to collaborate with Lewis to create a more modern version of the song, originally sang and written by Dolly Parton. A source revealed, "They will record the track in the next few months and are just waiting for a period when they're both free to go into the studio. Leona and Justin are huge fans of each other's music and are raring to go."

They're gonna have to mess with Timberfakes's vocals on this to level it up. You put him on a stage with Leona with no gimmicks, and he'd get owned.
So it'll end up sounding as fake as hell.

So it'll end up sounding as fake as hell. What a no-talent whore. I don't know why people make such a fuss about those vocals. And as for Leona.

Leona is so boring to me for some reason and Justin seldomly sounds great on ballads so I am curious to how it'd sound.

Does this girl have the talent that Whitney had?
She had some powerful vocals, I don't think anyone can touch that song, especially not Justin Timberlake.

Oh great, I bet it's gonna be a big mess. Leona can sing, her voice is quite good. Justin on the other hand is only a slightly above average singer and he has little to no range. Not looking forward to it.
Why re-do this song anyway? They can't top Dolly or Whitney's version, so what's the point. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

I pray Dolly Parton gets her royalties from this
and I hope the song kills both of their washed up careers

That idea makes my brain hurt. Timberlake needs to go away. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

This is gonna suck.
Is Justin afraid to record and release a new album because it might not reach the success of the first 2, so he's appearing in other artists' singles and videos for years now?

I believe the new JT album is finished yet. It should be released in the next 4 months... I agree, when I first read that I thought: How awful. I think Jt can't sing, Has a got a vibrato at all??? He's best at doing staccato kinda songs and in copying Mj and Prince. But he has no mighty voice. You can dislike or like tnhat song (I like it) but Whitney KILLED it. It's fantastic. I can't imagine Justin singing it. And what about Leona Lewis? Has someone listened to her album? Is it good, bad? or is she a one trick pony?

New album finished?! When did he have the time to record it? Was it with Timbaland and Danja again?
I haven't heard the Leona album but everyone says it's full of fillers and she's indeed a safe corny ballad singing one trick pony.

I don't know about this. I think Whitney Houston's version is UNTOUCHABLE-- beyond classic. I love it.
I also love Dolly Parton, so if she gets a little change from JT's efforts, then I guess it's OK. [Edited 1/16/09 5:23am]

Well, they couldn't do no worse than the one that previously did it.

Interesting, but I was checking www.justin-t.org and it doesn't talk about a new album, all the news items are about Justin writing for other artists. If it's released in the next few months, it would only be 2 and a half year since his last one, that's not like the 4 year long gap between the first and second album.

. . . [Edited 1/16/09 9:05am] No, it's gonna be 20x worse that Whitney take my word for it "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The only Justin ballad I've liked is 'Cry Me A River.' I really don't like Justin . . . . No albums I have eight tracks and four are collaborations with only one version of each song . . . (ITunes has 9257 tracks) I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Wow, this has train wreck written all over it. Somebody pass the popcorn. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
