SOLANGE: ‘BEYONCE AIN’T SCARED OF JANET’ THE FACTS
Solange has chimed in on the purported feud between her sister Beyonce and Janet Jackson. THE SPIN I want to give Solange the benefit of the doubt and say, despite lacking any real media training, even she would know better than to interject herself into something that has nothing to do with her. Then again, this sounds a lot like her. On rumors that Janet plans to confront Beyonce over comments she made about the Jackson family, Solange has supposedly added her two cents. The blog John John Said It claims while at a dinner with friends, Solange almost laughed when the subject was brought up, saying, “What ever. Beyonce ain’t scared of Janet. All my sister did was tell the truth…she wasn’t trying to hurt nobody.” http://www.tvoneblogs.com...d-of-janet This little girl keeps putting her foot in her mouth

True or not, what's wrong a sister sticking up for another sister? Ain't that how it's SUPPOSED to work? Since they're celebs now that means the sister-bond isn't still in place? nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

I'm all for sisters sticking up for one another. That's why I want LaToy and Rebbie to get in on this. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Not that I'm a fan of Solange, but in her defense, the article claims that she said this over dinner with friends. So it wasnt like she was releasing a statement to the media. I dont see what she said as surprising--I'm sure her and Matthew as well have put their in on this matter and defend Bey's comment. Doesnt anyone even listen to this spoiled brat at this point? Beyonce shouldnt even be speaking on anyone, especially someone that is her "elder" and always someone that didnt have their career handed to them like she did. As for Solange, worry about whos sound youre gonna jack for your next album "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Wait! You sayin' Janet "SISTER-OF-MICHAEL-&-THE-JACKSONS" Jackson DIDN'T have her career handed to her? LOL! Her family didnt come from "wealth" like Beyonce did. The Jackson 5 didnt exactly get pay for play opportunities. Not that I'm disagreeing with the overall message, but are you saying that Janet didn't have her career handed to her and Beyonce did? Isn't it the other way around? Edit: I see I'm a little late. [Edited 1/9/09 13:02pm]

By the time she was ready to spread her wings, all doors were open to her by virtue of their hard work. I'm not knocking Janet or anything, but that's just the way it was.

I just realize something:
The same blogger that said Solo said something is the same one that said MJ turned down an opportunity to perform at Obama's inaugural!

Wait! You sayin' Janet "SISTER-OF-MICHAEL-&-THE-JACKSONS" Jackson DIDN'T have her career handed to her? LOL! I'm as big of a Janet fan as anybody but hell Janet's career is much like the Knowles. The Jackson 5 were poor when they started out. By the time they became famous, Janet was about four, so when her career started at seven, Joe Jackson was her manager from day one, lol. And Janet wanted to be a jockey so you figure it out...

Wait Beyonce worked for something?? Beyonce and pop knowles would lose their mind if a Beyonce album tanked like the first 2 Janet Jackson albums did. Beyonce and DC were a hit day one, never tanked never struggled, had the benefits of everything in their corner, and Solange, well no one listens to her when she sings does anyone even care about her dinner discussions except on this forum. The Knowles had Ferraris but the Jacksons had Rolls Royces, Lincolns and Cadillacs. Janet was living in the lap of luxury compared to Beyonce and 'em. They may have lived comfortably but they still weren't as rich as the Jacksons became AFTER the Motown success, lol. Anyway, Beyonce almost 30 years old still under her daddy's control, I'm waiting for her to break away like Janet did at 20, lol.

Hell if that National Enquirer story was even HALF true, Janet shouldn't be the one upset, it should:
Joseph Katherine Rebbie Jackie Tito Jermaine Latoya Marlon Michael ---- Randy was only five or six when the J5 went out on the road, Janet was practically a baby. Both of them forgot how life was in Gary but they realize the sacrifice, doesn't amount to them being mad. Matter of fact, I honestly don't think Solange even said what she said. Beyonce hasn't been asked for explanation. So let's just move on from this. This is like Etterlene DeBarge saying in her opinion her kids were more talented than Joe's kids and that's her opinion too. You didn't see Joseph Jackson reportedly waiting to get a switch on Etterlene in the Enquirer for that statement, did you? No.

The doors were all opened for her, she didn't have to work for her chance. The difference between her and her sisters is that she was able to make a success of it.
