Aretha Franklin - "Who's Zoomin' Who" This album came out in 1985, and i know that is past Aretha's prime, but this is one hell of a good pop album, and i don't know if all that many people have even heard of it, classic! We're here, might as well get into it.

It's a great album. My favorite songs are "Another Night" and "Until You Say You Love Me" The album features more 'pop' than she had ever done before, but it's good pop.

C'mon now..... this is the album with "Freeway of Love"..... an 80's classic!!!
I like the title song too. Very fat, synthy bass in there. I also liked the follow up to this album which had another fave... "Jimmy Lee".

Yeah "freeway of love" is a bit of a classic, but it's probably my least favourte song on the album. "until you say you love me" is gorgeous as is "sweet bitter love", that's the real knock-out song for me. Yeah this is good Pop alright. We're here, might as well get into it.

The song "Who's Zoomin Who" has a chorus that's very similiar to the hook of Whitney's "How Will I Know".Both songs were produced by Narada Michael Walden.

I've always thought that the title track was a great Madonna sounding song, but obviously with a better vocal. Maybe a favorite.I've had the vinyl album for a while but haven't played it yet. I'll have to do that soon.

Weird to see this come up. I was just looking at this 12 inch I have of
different versions of "Who's Zoomin' Who," my favorite being the one listed as "acapella," which is really just one with the music tracks taken out, but I like hearing her voice so clearly. Anybody else get that one? Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

God, I love that song! When I was in 7th grade it was one of my favorites. I love "Another Night", and "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" too.

"Telephone, don't make a sound...", from "Until You Say You Love Me", a track from the WHO'S ZOOMIN' WHO? album. Smoking, Narada made it sound very Prince derivative.
Overall a good effort from Aretha. Certainly brought her back into the popular mainstream with several hit singles from one album: "Freeway Of Love" "Who's Zoomin' Who" "Ain't Nobody Ever Loved You" "Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves" with Annie Lennox, The Eurhytmics Also her first platinum album.
