lol Even the hardiest of the hardcore hate the artwork (and most Springsteen fans' idea of style is a Roots leather jacket).

The whole album just smacks of a rush-job to piggyback on the Super Bowl thing. I have nothing against a guy makin' a buck, but doesn't mean I have to provide it.

I still love ya, Boss, but this is not your best work by a long shot.

Never was a fan. I'm collecting his COMPLETE discography right now. They come with EL MUNDO sunday supplement. A vinyl replica CD and a book every week smile

So far, maybe Born To run and The River have had a deeper impact smile

Holy crap, that is the coolest thing I've ever heard of!

I'm a Nebraska-through-The Rising man, myself. The music on the new album isn't so much an issue with me (although I'm not a big fan of ornate arrangements) as the lyrics (lazy, crappy).

From what I heard, it's outtakes from "Magic" or at the very least, from those sessions, which is the reason it is out so quickly in comparison (after all, in recent years he was only good for one "E Street"/"pop" album a decade or so.

Springsteen has stated that they were having such a good time making Magic that he continued writing, but they ran out of time. My personal feeling is that O'Brien has convinced El Bosso to work quickly and that everything that flows from his pen is gold. To me, there has been a steady decline in quality, beginning with Devils & Dust.

Entertainment weekly has the My Lucky Day clip up and it sounds pretty good. Not all the grunting and political messages.

I don't mind the music on that one (although I don't think it's anything to write home about), but I think the lyrics suck big pig dicks.

With the exception of "Long Walk Home", I didn't care for it.

Alright then, think I'll be downloading this one biggrin

So what's the last one you liked? The Rising was a total turd in my book, and before that, it was only pieces of Lucky Town, Human Touch that I really loved.

The Rising (although that album is not turd-free). And on Devils, I liked "Reno". The Seeger Sessions was fun, as far as covers albums go, but that's not very far with me.

lol Thanks, but no comfort needed. I'm no longer emotionally invested in whether or not an artist puts out a product I like. I look at it this way: it's a bunch of songs; I don't like them; what's for dinner?

Yeah, I pretty much feel that way about Prince's last two albums.
