I don't why that part of the trailer stood out for me....but I just think that it was hilarious that they said that when it doesn't even look too interesting IMO

You mean the one that Sylvester Stallone wanted to make ? "Notorious" ?
I think he´s cancelled that whole project for good. The last time I heard of it was almost ten years ago. Stallone was supposed to play one of the investigating cops in this flick but I think he was confronted with a lot of obstacles back then.

I am a fan ot BIG, but I have to say that the people who listen to his music is such a specialized niche, it could not possibly even come CLOSE to being anywhere near the biggest movie event of our time. It is a pile of marketing crap.

Do you really think this movie is going to reveal the truth behind his death?

That will be interesting if it addresses certain FACTS.

I can't get past the actor playing Puffy. Why couldn't Puffy play Puffy? And must Angela Bassett be everybody's mother?

I could think of about 5 or 10 other movies in the last 10 years that they have promoted as "biggest movie event of our time". So, I take that line with a grain of salt.

I think the movie will do good. I don't know why Angela Bassett did't have a Jamaican accect. Biggie's mom is Jamaican. It raise my eyebrows. I think this a very important detail that was over looked for some reason. It's very noiceable.

I like the preview when Biggie's mother said "Who in their right mind would name themselves Puffy" something like that.

I don't think the Hendrix estate ever settled on a storyline or movie deal.

As for James, don't look for anything soon. They are still trying to pay his bills and settle with the children.

When is the Marvin Gaye movie coming out? haven't they been working on that forever?

Yes they have. I remember reading that the part of Marvin had been cast.

Yeah, they'll probably do some outrageous shit like saying 2Pac slept with Biggie's wife and bragged about it in a song... oh, wait. neutral

Why is it Pathetic..? If Jimi's and James's family handle their business and stop all the bickering they would have Movies too... Biggie mother has never stopped fighting for justice for her son and this movie falls right in line with keeping his story and legacy alive with hopes that someday someone will be brought to justice for taking his life

According to reports, the one MG film that was cast (with who was gonna play Marvin) was having trouble getting produced due to budget problems, another MG film (which doesn't have any actor playing Marvin in that one yet) is now set for production and will be distributed by Will Smith's company. F. Gary Gray may work on that film in 2009.

I read that Jesse L. Martin is supposed to play Marvin and that John Legend is supposed to be Smokey. The thing is, the producers of the movie are having trouble securing the rights to Marvin's music with Motown; this means that only music from the last ten years of his life, will be featured. This is why it is taking so long for this to come out.
