Lady GaGa Says Amy Winehouse Is "Beautiful" Lady GaGa has praised troubled singer Amy Winehouse.
The current UK number one single holder described the British singer as "beautiful" and "honest" while speaking to the Sun newspaper: "Amy is a real artist. I get frustrated when I tour so much that my voice is messed up." "But I always say to myself that I watch performances from Amy where I swear she didn't hit a note, and she was shot and shot deep on something, but I can't take my eyes off that beautiful girl," Lady Gaga told the Sun. "There's something about her that's so honest. That was what the Seventies and Eighties were about, and what women were about then, and that's why legends were created. It wasn't about manicures," the singer added. Lady GaGa finally released her debut album The Fame this week in the UK. Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! She's so right about that--about that the artists of the 70s and 80s were about honesty. They were real, not about hype and image. Well most of them anyways. I think she just sees that there is a real person under the mess and there is. was listening to 'frank' today and looking at the booklet. she was alright back then. i hope folks give her the chance to get back on track. folk are so quick to judge, but if she was a member of your own family, i suspect you'd support first and criticize later.

Image wasn't the #1 thing the way that it is now. I'm sure that we are missing out on some amazing music because of the lack of "beauty" on some of these struggling artists out here today. It's sad when you think about it. [Edited 1/13/09 12:22pm] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
