Up until now, his solo efforts have been uneven and spotty. The new album is his most consistent and satisfying, in my opinion. But I think you have to go back to Tony Toni Tone's House of Music to hear Saadiq's best songwriting. | |

followed by Ray Ray (nice Lucy Pearl-like album).. then Instant Vintage (which was just aiight...too many songs and filler) Straight Jacket Funk Affair
