I searched and came up with this although it doesnt exactly answer your question , the latest one is Faith Hill's Breathe in 1999. Taylor Swift is coming close. The All-Time Top 10 Country Songs on the Hot 100 List 1. Battle of New Orleans, by Johnny Horton, 1959 2. Lady, by Kenny Rogers, 1980 3. You’re Still the One, by Shania Twain, 1997 4. Are You Lonesome Tonight?, by Elvis Presley with the Jordanaires, 1960 5. Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, by B.J. Thomas, 1969 6. Rhinestone Cowboy, by Glen Campbell, 1974 7. You are so right. Mainstream country is now very pop. Hell, even Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, etc. are all pop sounding artists.
