I've started work on my time machine. Thanks for the heads up.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

That means that he's not making music for the love of music first, but for the love of money. Guess what that makes him? A sellout. But five years? Why is he forcing us to wait this long? If cancer patients knew that they would have to go through chemo for five years, would they still choose it? (Draw your own conclusions.)

He's figured out what all rappers eventually learn - you can only fool people into thinking you have talent for so long.

LMFAO at the thought of an oldies rap station.

QFT! I don't understand why these cats who want clothing lines and all that other shit even bother getting into music in the first place. I mean, why not just go to design school or something instead of wasting the time with music when its just a stepping stone to something else?

Rapper LIL WAYNE plans to quit hip-hop within five years to become the owner of basketball team. The 25-year-old star, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has no intention of rapping into his 30s, and he wants to join the likes of Jay-Z and Nelly as sports moguls.

He says, "When I'm 30 or 35, I don't want to be into this s**t no more. I want to own a basketball team or some kind of team.

"That's why I'm in the studio every night. Now, I'm 25. You think I'm gonna be doing this s**t 10 years from now? Or even five? That's my drive."

I guess they figure that once they become famous, their name will sell. I heard it is not easy breaking into the fashion business, especially if you're unknown.

Waiting for him to retire in 5 years feels like waiting for Bush to leave the White House for eight years.

I been wonderin' about this guy... if he's as good as all the press he's getting says he is.

He's been winning all kinds of awards and movin' a lot of units but judging from y'all's comments he's not very well liked here.

I can go months without hearing any rap so I have no idea, really.

Maybe I should go try to find a clip to see what the hub bub is all about.

He can quit now and it wouldn't make any difference to me. Yuck for Lil Wayne and foul-mouthed hip-hop acts like him.

honestly his rap does not speak to me (i am 40) but ask my high school kids and they will tell you they love him

to me the guy seems real, although his music and beats are probably created mostly with help from others (Lolipop beat for example)

who are we to judge really? i mean public enemy, nwa, tupac, biggie, epmd etc. mattered to us when we were younger but now where are they?

when you get to be a certain age, i think it does not really matter what you think anymore.....sorry folks

get over lil wayne and kanye because they gonna be around a while

Hell, I'm 37 and even the rappers you listed as "ours" were a bit out of my time.

For me, it was Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Eric B. & Rakim, Kool Moe Dee, etc. To really delineate that, I stopped being interested when it transitioned into "gangsta" rap.

The ones you listed handled gangsta rap with uber-talent though. Not like today's acts.
