Ne-Yo Confronts Gay Rumors...Again

January 9, 2009
Link

Ne-Yo’s recent revelations about Young Jeezy, has now garnered a tad bit of controversy in the urban gossip kingdom.

The singer was recently quoted in People magazine as saying that he had recently moved into an exclusive Atlanta neighborhood and was shocked to find that label mate Young Jeezy was his next door neighbor. But that wasn’t the only thing shocking: According to various online sources, he soon supposedly found out Jeezy likes to walk around his crib…naked.

Ne-Yo says he was able to see right up in Jeezy’s home. But it was also reported that one day he allegedly caught the rapper in his birthday suit.

“Is that... Jeezy?” he asked himself.

He then called the rapper.

“'Yo, you probably shouldn't walk around naked - I can see you.'"

When the blogosphere caught wind of the story, they reignited rumors saying the crooner is gay. Usually, Ne-Yo would keep his response simple, or turn the other cheek. But this time, he decided to clap back with a lengthy MySpace blog, and set the record straight about what he really said in the People story.

“One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all cost, but right about now I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute. The haters especially,” he wrote.

He then gets into it:

“The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh? The whole ‘boys’ song, and the song ‘go over there’. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women… suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women.”

He then addresses the “naked” Snowman:

“I tell People Magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.”

Ne-Yo did end his rant off on a positive note:

“To the haters…. find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change.”

Man, he should know how EASILY misinterpreted that could be! Of course, I didn't think "Oh, he's gay!" but I did have to read it again to realise he didn't ACTUALLY see Jeezy naked, he was just pre warning him. lol

And Pharrell's written plenty of sexual songs for women without suspicion so I do think it's unfair if people target Neyo for the songs he writes.

Ne-Yo realizes that if he admits to his homosexuality, 'game over' as they say.
The African-American community does not play that. Lesbians are tolerated way more. Some people ask why is that? Well African-American males can see it being more of a funtime with two women because that would be in erotic paradise.
The homophobia and hating on peoples' sexuality and lifetsyle makes not much sense, but I guess water seeks its own level in the end.

That's relevant for most straight males not just african american straight males.

Plus, men see homosexuality as an insult to their masculinity and the thought of being penetrated scares them outta their minds.

It's 2009, president is black, time for a change, but it's still considered "bad" if people think you are gay?

Hypocritical much?

He needed to keep his mouth shut. He shouldn't be worried about anybody assuming him being gay. The problem wasn't them reporting those rumors, the problem is him opening his big gums trying to deny it.

It is never the crime, it is the cover up. It reminds me of phallus breathed T-Pain talking about how large Ray J's endowment was after the sex tapes romp of Norwood and Kardashian. He then wondered why people were saying he was a homo.

Yeah. lol If you know the comments you say are gonna be blown, don't say it, both of them knew exactly what they were doing and their sad attempts of covering it up is sad.

Like one can say "hey I'm gangsta but ain't nothing wrong with looking at another man's dick", then the same person would say "but I'm not gay tho, no homo."

Uh...yeah. neutral

The more he tries to stop rumors of him being gay, the more I think that he is. Even without this, I firmly believe that he is part of the "Howyoudoin?" club. Family recognizes family and I can feel the colors of the rainbow beaming from Mr Ne-Yo. It's all good, whatever he is, I like his music

For those of you who don't know, "Howyoudoin"? is from Wendy Williams. It's a phrase she uses for gay people. lol
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Nah I'm not saying that, lol. I don't think it's nothing wrong with it, I just hate it for the images people try to portray. But you're dumb to think it's not right with looking at dicks because you're supposed to just like pussy, lol. Or because you're in the business where if you even admit that, you're gay, there's more to looking at dick to make you think you're gay or at least bisexual, lol. Ne-Yo's actions make me think he's bicurious, and there's nothing wrong with that, just stop denying you were looking at it.

I have to say this: The gaydar tips on both of them.

But this is what I was trying to say, lol. I know sometimes I say things I don't really mean in that way but look:

OK, if you were raised on hip-hop, and you were raised on R&B, you grow up and you dress in a certain way and people think it makes you look "gay", you're affected by it and you have to be a certain image or do certain things (like hip-hop duets) to make it seem like you're "hood", if you even ADMIT you like to look at another naked man (and let's be honest, SOME men of all orientations - not saying any straight guy here on the ORG do it, lol - do look at dick pictures lol Some may look at it and look at their own dick like "the fuck I got this little pee-pee!?!" lol Some others actually do get turned on by the pictures, lol), then that means you're "not hood" or because gay is not as acceptable in some circles (especially my own precious black community, which is some BULLSHIT, first of all, why do we always have a problem with it anyways, it ain't like they're automatically "twans"! lol ).

Ne-Yo's comments make it seem like it's bad being gay or even get away from things that might make him look unacceptable with the fan base he has. That's why no one in the community come out looking like Michael and Prince in the '80s or people like Sylvester because they'll be giving a stereotypical view of what they think gay is without really having a clue.

Sexuality is a very complicated matter in and of itself anyways. Some of us can claim we want to be with the opposite sex and then halfway through teenage years or early adult years realize you actually attract the same sex or you're attracted to both sexes.

That's why I tried to say. smile

Shit, he probably said it in an angry tone: "I'm NOT gay, you're just hating!"

Just when is you looking at dick pictures hating? Who gives a fuck what you think about a man's package, you idiot, all I'm wilding out over is you actually mentioned the circumference and shit! falloff If you was me, you'd be like "damn, look at that!" and move on, that damn T-Pain mentioned CIRCUMFERENCE! falloff Then when they deny that either they said that or that they say "no homo" as if that has anything to do with it ( ), it just makes them look even sillier. And Ne-Yo's pictures make him SUSPECT anyways! lol

Yeah I notice that. And it's troubling because that means there's a lot of sexually-confused black men that claim to be straight yet fuck other men or give other men blowjobs and do it in a way where it's suspicious but the man's explanation is actually accepted! Especially by that man's girlfriend until she finds them in the room and acts shocked. confused

I mean there's songs like "Another Man" and "Bill" that talk about this, like how did you just discover it? lol

A good song is a good song....even if it's dude singing about "Boyz" being such a mess. It's got a bit of an eighties freestyle vibe. Did NeYo write "Discipline" for Janet....she should have taken this one as well. Better than "2Nite" and "Rollercoaster".
