Alisha "Bounce back" Single off the 1990 album of the same name. Despite not being the biggest fan of anything freestyle related, Iam one of the (very) few who quite liked it when freestyle crossed over more with pop. This is my fav work by Michael Jay, who produced the whole album. Certainly the track itself, "bounce back", employed very little, if any real freestyle in it, but a few of the other tracks do. Producer Michael Jay was probably most famous for his work with Martika, but his work with Alisha here is less fluffy and more freestyle related. More importantly, the production is alot more dense, for lack of a better word. The layers of synths and loud drum programming are more agressive then the work he did for Martika. Quite telling how I barely mention the songs, just the high tech production and mixing etc LOL Some fun tracks on this (by no means a masterpiece LOL) and I love the energy and production and mixing of the title track inparticular. The guitar solo and the macho "be tough" refrain on the chorus being highlights.

I liked this, it got little play here in New York.
"Too Turned On", "All Night Passion" and "Baby Talk" were a lot more popular.
