This was the year after the Fillmore West recordings that resulted in the ARETHA: LIVE AT FILLMORE WEST.
It was so great of Rhino to finally release all three nights of the Fillmore sessions in full, then cam this find.
She was in much better voice in Philadelphia, even though the band was not as good.
For any Aretha fan this is her best vocal live recording to date. On the shelf in the vaults of Atlantic is the great Live at Radio City Music Hall project from 1974.
They keep toying with the idea of releasing this also.
OH ME OH MY ARETHA LIVE IN PHILLY is a must have for serious Aretha fans and r&b music lovers.
