Funk Masters of the Org, where were YOU on this? Nils Landgren Funk Unit
w/Ray Parker Junior? While I did ask the question, I really wanted to find out how many people knew of this band. Nils has got some funk but it's under the jazz category...

That´s not the Ghostbuster Ray Parker Jr., or is he ?
The guy who was part of that UTCM thing Prince did way back in the day in Sheridan Wyoming ? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Never heard of them either. It's cool to see Ray in action. I know he's made some big money in real estate so this is probably his side gig. He plays a lot of the music jazzfests in the Islands.

Tromboneplayer Nils Landgren has been around since forever. I first saw his "funk unit" band in the early 90's. The bassplayer in that band is Magnum Coltrane Price. He is a supernice dude and a multiinstrumentalist producin his own stuff too. http://www.myspace.com/ma...traneprice His dad is the american musician Melvin Price who released albums in the 60's ad 70's since leaving the states for Sweden. Those Melvin Price LP's was really expensive during the acidjazz era in the 90's. /peace Manki
