I decided to play Bad in the car on my way out and back, after months of not listening to his albums, maybe even a year or something, can't remember how long. I enjoyed it so much. On my way home on the highway, there was a license plate in front of me that had my initials and mj, I started laughing at how weird that was and continued playing mj. But then after awhile, I put on lenny kravitz's 5 and felt that the loudness was appealing to me more.

Don't look at me, I can't solve your problem. lol I never knew Michael's music can do that to somebody like that, or anyone's music for that matter, lol. I've heard of "the hair on the back of my neck standing up" but this is ridiculous. lol

I need to get mj out of my fucking life, cause no matter how happy he makes me, he makes me fucking sad too

and actually he's not the problem, I am with other things. I usually know that if I get too attached, it's a cover for something else I'm feeling. But everytime I think I've come around, there's something else. Why the fucking license plate?

Okay, you REALLY need to step back and kinda distance yourself because it's getting a little wierd

This is the #1 example of treating an artist like a GOD and then after he stopped being a "superstar" so to speak, try to get away and find yourself acting a fool when a song or video comes up. That's why I don't latch on to celebrities that heavily...

yeah of course he's not god, he was just overhyped in the media and put on a pedestal and the public fell for it including fans and the general public before.

Hey alphastreet maybe you should consider seeing a shrink if your love for MJ is making you feel this way.
Just a thought.

I don't think he was overhyped. Dude simply had a presence and people loved him for his talent

I sort of did a few years ago, the media was making me depressed but I just said things on the news made me sad and kept mj out. It's too embarrassing, gosh!!! But I have thought about it before.

But what is this you speak of when you say "making me feel this way?" How am I at fault if references come up around and are not in my control? That's the part I don't understand

I don't think he was overhyped but I feel some fans only looked at him and then when they get tired of him, then they say "overhyped". lol

what i meant was he deserved the hype cause he has the talent for it and everything and he worked his way up from rags to riches, but though thriller is great and had an impact, 1982 to 85 had other great music, a lot that I listen to way more than thriller, even in those days and they deserved just as much credit. I just pretty much now feel like hype and sales is no longer a plausible excuse for defending an artist. I got two words for those type of fans: Britney Spears.
