This one along with Jagged Edge's Let's Get Married, muthafuckas played this song to death

I LOVE this song. Yes, I admitted it.

It's funny....I don't like alot of late-90s R&B but I did like this song I also like their other big hit "Too Close" or "So Close" (whatever it's called,lol).

I actually loved Too Close, until the radio stations in my area played the hell out of it. I always thought it was a cool way to sample "Christmas Rappin'" from Kurtis Blow.

Wifey is cool to hear occasionally, but tends to be very boring after one listen.

I think RL had a very good voice, but the other members sucked. The duet he did with Deborah Cox was off tha chain.

Yeah, Jaheim is/was pretty bad. I will admit, I did enjoy his last project. It wasn't as ghetto as some of his previous works, but overall, he wasn't that good. Besides, he always sounded like he was singing with a mouth full of cotton.

I thought Close was a'ight till I realized it was just a song about getting a boner.

Yeah, when I read the lyrics, I was kind of grossed out. The song took on a whole different meaning.

The saddest part was seeing little kids singing this song and they didn't know what the lyrics were about.

I just liked the tune, the word wifey is awful though, does anyone actually use that? We do here (Scotland) but it means something different, not cute, almost derogatory...

I looove this song. I will never get tired of it for some odd reason...its RL's voice I think...even tho his solo album was TURRIBLE. He still lives over North Minneapolis I think. One of my people from High School still hangs out with him but I dont think he is doing anything special these days.

Never liked this song just for the sheer fact that it helped to popularize the word 'wifey'.

As for the Let's Get Married song, never cared for that one since it always sounded like the guy was lying around doing nothing else and thought why the hell not.

RL's solo album was horrible. I did like one song (that I can't remember the title of). It was a ballad and was decent. The rest was GARBAGE. It's sad, too, because he has a very good voice and is a decent looking guy. Maybe it's true what they say about light-skinned and carmel-skinned guys. They are not popular at the moment.

Hell, I was born in Oakland and currently live in the Bay Area, and I HATED Goapele's song "Closer"(they played that damn song every 20 minutes on the radio here) and Keyshia Cole's song "Love" (EVERY hoodrat was singin' that shit....loud, offkey...AND in groups! )

I dont know...maybe because I just like the sound of their voices...and its uptempo....they dont really play alot of uptempo cuts by guy groups on R&B radio unless it was from back in the day.
